A SCOOTER was seized from a Baildon man after he was caught on camera by members of the public who were fed up with his riding.
A member of the public had reported the man wheelying up and down Cliffe Avenue on the evening of December 14.
They had recorded the rider, and showed footage to police. The off-road “quad squad” made the decision to seize the scooter on Sunday, as it was already subject to a warning and had been seized in the past.
PC Joey Boswell said: “This rider hadn’t learned his lesson and so the bike was seized again. Video footage played the fundamental part in making the decision to seize this scooter as the footage was unquestionable. The footage has been retained and if the scooter or rider is seen again, these previous incidents could be used to prosecute the rider in a court of law.”
