MOVES to give English constituency MPs more say over laws affecting England this country alone have been backed by Keighley MP Kris Hopkins' backing.
He said: “I was delighted that the people of Scotland recently voted to reject independence and instead chose to remain as a member of the UK. – However, there is clearly an appetite for more powers to be transferred to Holyrood and it is right that this should happen.,” he said. “But equally, it is simply not fair to my constituents that MPs representing Scottish seats can vote on matters affecting our schools and hospitals andyet my English parliamentary colleagues and I have no influence over what happens north of the border.”
