A CHARITY has bought new furniture for a waiting area at Airedale General Hospital.
The Friends of Airedale funded a dozen new chairs and a coffee table for patients waiting to be seen in the gynaecology assessment unit.
Shirley Smith, a staff nurse, said: “We are so grateful to the charity for funding this new furniture. It makes such a huge difference to our patients to be able to wait in a nice environment.”
The unit caters for patients at risk of miscarrying and pregnant women with gynaecology problems.
