A SPEEDED-UP film showing the 221-mile rail journey from London to Bradford in a little more than six minutes is continuing to attract interest on the internet.
Rail operator Grand Central took its inspiration from the BBC’s 1953 classic film, London to Brighton in Four Minutes. The video was posted on YouTube three years ago and has now attracted 41,848 views.
The super-speed video was put together to celebrate the firm’s direct route from London Kings Cross station to Bradford Interchange.
It shows onboard footage from cab of a Class 180 diesel multiple unit, departing at 14.48 from London Kings Cross, calling at Doncaster, Pontefract Monkhill, Wakefield Kirkgate, Brighouse and Halifax before arriving into Bradford Interchange at 17.55 having travelled 221 miles.
