SIXTH-FORMERS at a Keighley school have chalked up a record-breaking half-term.
Unprecedented numbers of Year 13 students at Oakbank were given unconditional offers from universities.
And charity fundraising has coined-in hundreds of pounds.
Many tutor groups have raised money for selected charities in addition to the school houses’ nominated causes – the NSPCC, Oxfam, Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice, Manorlands and The Principle Trust – with a football tournament and a bake sale.
Also, eighteen Year 12 students have had the opportunity to apply for a shadowing scheme at Cambridge University.
A school spokesman said: “All in all, this has been another successful half-term for Oakbank sixth form.
“We are excitedly looking forward to the New Year.”
