Titus Salt School has made a planning application for a canopy
A SCHOOL hopes to put a canopy over its playground to protect children from the sun and rain.
Titus Salt school in Baildon has applied for planning permission for the 128 sq m canopy.
A letter accompanying the application says the canopy “provides shelter both from rainfall and UV radiation, enabling greater access to the open air”and that it could also be used as an outdoor teaching area, theatre or meeting space.
