A SEX offender who was due to be sentenced yesterday for a series of assaults had his case adjourned for inquiries to be made into his mental health.
Haroon Rashid was not produced at Bradford Crown Court and Judge Peter Benson was told he had been admitted to a medium-secure hospital unit at Wakefield.
Rashid, 28, of Harris Street, Barkerend, Bradford, had previously pleaded guilty to five charges of sexual assault and one of indecent exposure.
The court heard that mental health experts disagreed on Rashid’s mental state.
Judge Benson adjourned the case until February 16. He formally remanded Rashid in custody.
