A MAN has been jailed for seven years for historic sexual offences against children.
Jamal Mohammed Raheem-ul-Nasir was sentenced to four years and three years for offences against girls aged nine and 14.
He committed the offences in 2010 and 2011, when the girls came to his house in Willow Street, Girlington, Leeds Crown Court heard yesterday.
The 31-year-old was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child and two further counts of sexual assault of a child.
Raheem-ul-Nasir, of Firthcliffe Grove, Liversedge, was also handed a Sexual Offenders' Prevention Order.
Detective Constable Helen Riley, of the Bradford District Safeguarding Unit, said: “Raheem-Ul-Nasir took advantage of his victims’ young ages and vulnerability to carry out these attacks over a period of time.
“I would like to thank them for coming forward and reporting his crimes to the police, and hope that the sentence passed down today will give them some comfort.
“I also hope it will encourage other victims of sexual offences to engage with our specially trained officers, who will sensitively and thoroughly investigate all reports with the aim of securing convictions against offenders.”
