A 75-YEAR-OLD man told a jury he is innocent of allegations that he sexually assaulted two girls more than 30 years ago.
Retired coach driver Malcolm Carney, of Langlands Road, Cottingley, Bingley, said the women, now in their 40s, are lying when they accuse him of molesting them on numerous occasions. He denies eight allegations of rape and 18 of indecent assault, dating back to 1978.
One of the women told Bradford Crown Court Carney sexually assaulted her on her wedding day and offered her £2,000 not to go through with the ceremony.
Carney said from the witness box yesterday that the women made false sexual allegations against other men when they were teenagers.
He told the jury they made up stories about several male relatives and a neighbour. He said he was entirely innocent of any wrongdoing.
The trial continues.
