HIGH-PROFILE celebrities have given their support to a Bradford family’s campaign to have their beloved pet dog returned home in time for Christmas.
Husky Murphy, who has been microchipped, went missing two weeks ago after a suspected abduction by two men in Scholemoor Cemetery, and since then his distraught family have been appealing for information on him on social media.
The appeals have been spread far and wide on Twitter and Facebook, and have most recently been shared by Bradford illusionist Dynamo, X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary and comedian Johnny Vegas.
Their interest means that in total over one million people have seen the appeal to get Murphy home. Owners Andrew Smith and Puiling Ma of Lidget Green had originally put up a reward of £300 for his return, but this has since risen to £700. And former X Factor contestant Chloe Khan has offered £300 on top of this.
Facebook page Get Murphy Home has been liked almost 23,000 times, with users sharing possible sightings.
Anyone with any information about Murphy can contact Mr Smith on 07759 851895.
