A FIRE at a garage in Bradford was today being treated as suspected arson.
Fire crews from Fairweather Green and Bradford were called to the blaze at the back of Misam Sewing Centre, Whetley Lane, at about 8.30pm yesterday.
One person in a flat above the garage was evacuated as a precaution but no-one suffered any injuries or smoke inhalation in the incident.
The garage contained several old sewing machines in storage.
Watch Commander Jonny Earl, of Fairweather Green fire station, said: "The garage was well alight when we got there. The case is still being investigated but it looks like a deliberate ignition."
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed the incident was being treated as suspected arson.
Anyone with any further information is urged to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or the 101 police number.
