TWO Bradford opticians have teamed up to support local children and encouraged others to donate this Christmas.
Specsavers stores in Girlington and Darley Street, Bradford, are working together to support the Build and Play Group in Clayton, Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) children’s ward, Chellow Heights Special School and Horton Park Primary School.
The teams at both stores have already provided a donation to the Build and Play Group, in order to allow the centre to throw a Christmas party for the children. The stores will also be providing Christmas presents for patients on the BRI children’s ward, as well as selection boxes for every pupil at the schools.
Peter Rooke, director of the stores, said: “For most of us Christmas is a time for happiness and giving, but sadly for some people that is not the case. We just want to bring some festive cheer to those less fortunate.”
You can donate at either store.
