NURSING home residents got an early Christmas present when children from a Manningham school visited bearing gifts.
Pupils at Iqra Academy went to The Mount Nursing Home with gifts bought with money provided by the school.
Each of the 30 residents, as well as members of staff, were given a festive mug containing Christmas treats and sweets. The children also read and sang to the residents and made sandwiches.
Ruby Hussain, learning leader at the academy in Drummond Road , said: “It was really lovely. When we went to sing in homes last year one child said he would like to buy a resident a gift, which was very sweet.
“We decided to provide a gift for everyone there.”
