DONATIONS continue to flood in for a Christmas toy appeal.
Goods and cash are arriving every day in support of the Keighley Salvation Army initiative.
The appeal – being staged in conjunction with the Keighley News and Sainsbury’s – will ensure 350 needy youngsters, nominated by schools, family centres and agencies, receive presents on Christmas Day.
“The response has been fantastic – people have been really generous and we’re very grateful for all the support,” said Chris Bown, the Salvation Army’s development manager.
Toys can continue to be taken to the Salvation Army, in High Street, until today, or can be handed over to church representatives who will be in the town centre on Saturday. Sainsbury’s, in Cavendish Street, is also acting as a collection point. Donations should be unwrapped.
