THREE Bradford teenagers have been arrested by police investigating the theft of a car in Thackley which was later dumped in Derbyshire.
The Vauxhall Zafira car was stolen after the owner returned to their home to collect some belongings, leaving the keys in the car.
That happened on Friday last week and the car was later abandoned in Derbyshire, with three youths fleeing from police.
Bradford East’s neighbourhood policing team began investigating and as a result three youths, aged between 14 and 16, have been arrested. They live locally and have been bailed, to allow officers more time to investigate.
Sgt Rick Newton said: “Please help protect yourself from becoming a victim of opportunist crime. Don’t leave your vehicle unlocked whilst unattended and never leave your vehicle with the engine running.”
