AN EXTENSION partly built on a home in Heaton Road, Bradford, without planning permission has been turned down on appeal.
The retrospective application for a single storey rear extension linking to an existing garage at 578 Heaton Road was refused by Bradford Council planners in August. Now planning inspector Gary Deane has dismissed the appeal, saying that once complete the new extension would be “a sizeable addition” and with its flat roof would “relate poorly to the scale, proportions and traditional shape” of the host building.
