PUPILS from one of the district’s primary schools took a behind-the-scenes look at the aviation industry.
On a visit to Multiflight, based at Leeds-Bradford Airport, children from Ghyll Royd School, Burley-in-Wharfedale, were able to experience first hand the working of an aviation business.
Multiflight specialises in training pilots and servicing aircrafts including air ambulances. Pupils were given a guided tour into areas not normally open to the public to see the servicing of a Jet2 passenger jet and air ambulance and the chance to sit in a helicopter’s cockpit.
Head teacher David Martin said: “Working closely with local businesses is key to Ghyll Royd and we are very grateful to David Hood of Multiflight for allowing us such a unique tour.”
