A woman who was serving a suspended prison sentence for offences, including possessing a bladed article, was seen wielding a kitchen knife in a block of flats, a court heard.
Bradford Crown Court was told today that a CCTV operator saw Rachel Pearce, 23, holding the knife while she spoke into the intercom of flats at Delph House, Keighley.
Police were called and found Pearce in the living room of her flat, still holding the knife. She was arrested.
Prosecutor Paul Nicholson said Pearce was in breach of a suspended eight-week prison sentence for possessing a bladed article, assaulting a police constable and making nuisance phone calls.
Pearce, of Parkwood Rise, Keighley, pleaded guilty to a new charge of possessing a bladed article. Her solicitor, Nigel Jamieson, said she had been in custody for four weeks. She had nowhere to go and there was no obvious solution.
Judge Peter Benson adjourned the case for a week so probation could make inquiries about suitable accommodation.
