SANTA Claus has received a helping hand this year with some extra Christmas presents for the Little Heroes Cancer Trust.
Staff at Yorkshire Building Society’s head office in Bradford have been buying toys and gifts to help spread a festive cheer for the children who will be spending Christmas away from home.
Angela Walton-Hawkins, of Little Heroes Cancer Trust, said: “I’d like to say thank you to the staff at Yorkshire Building Society for providing these gifts for the children who will be in hospital wards over Christmas.
“Being able to give them a small sack of toys on Christmas Day makes a real difference to them and helps them enjoy as normal a Christmas as possible.”
David Henderson, chief information officer at YBS, said: “Christmas is the season of goodwill and we really wanted to help make a difference at this time of year to children who are feeling poorly and are unable to spend Christmas at home with their families.
“Hopefully these gifts can help put a smile on their faces and we wish them all a Merry Christmas.”
Little Heroes Cancer Trust work with children’s cancer units across the UK to provide gifts and toys to children who are being treated for cancer.
