TWO people have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after two 18-year-olds were killed in a car crash in Manningham.
UPDATE: POLICE TRY TO PIECE TOGETHER EVENTS WHICH LED TO DOUBLE DEATH HORROR SMASH
At 7.30pm last night a Honda Civic travelling down Manningham Lane mounted the curb and crashed into a bollard on the corner of a building on Hamilton Street.
Emergency services, including ambulances, first responders, fire engines and police rushed to the scene but the two 18-year-old men in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the car was involved in "an incident" with another car shortly before the crash.
A man and woman, both aged 20, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later released on bail.
Enquiries are ongoing, and police have appealed for any witnesses who may have seen the crash, or the cars in the moments leading up to it.
Sergeant Ann Drury, of the Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: "We believe the Honda was involved in an incident with a Silver Audi A4 in the moments leading up to the collision, so we would appeal for anyone who witnessed this or the movements of other vehicle prior to it contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team by calling 01924 293047 or 101."
