A 30-YEAR-OLD man has made his first appearance at Bradford Crown Court charged with blackmail.
Abid Saleem, of Duchy Crescent, Heaton, Bradford, is accused of making an unwarranted demand of £30,000 with menaces on February 3 and 7 this year.
Saleem (pictured), who is on bail, will stand trial on February 19.
His next court appearance will be for a plea and case management hearing on October 31.
Michael Smith, barrister for the Crown, said at today's hearing that a voice recognition expert would be instructed to give expert evidence during the trial.
