A BRADFORD man, who continued to direct a drugs conspiracy while serving a prison sentence, has been jailed for seven years and four months.
Mohammed Kabeer, 29, (pictured), of Thornbury Drive, Thornbury, admitted conspiracy to supply heroin and was jailed at Leicester Crown Court.
He was one of 11 men - three others from Bradford - who admitted or were found guilty of conspiracy to supply heroin, possessing it with intent to supply, or being concerned in its supply, and jailed for a total of 50 years.
They included Rashid Hussain, 31, of Gathorne Street, Little Horton, Bradford, who was convicted of conspiracy to supply heroin and jailed for seven years.
His brother Sohail Hussain, 23, of Gathorne Street; and Anas Waheed, 22, of Sunnybank Lane, Thornbury; admitted supplying heroin and were jailed for four years and eight months and three years respectively.
Kabeer, and his brothers in Derby, Mohammed Jangir and Mohammed Shabir, used relatives, including sons and nephews, to help them sell heroin in Derbyshire, having obtained the drug from associates in Bradford.
The operation continued to be directed by Kabeer while he was serving a prison sentence for possession of heroin with intent to supply.
The estimated street value of the drugs recovered was £8,770.
