A dance club will hold an early celebration for the Tour de France next week in a bid to avoid the road closures and disruption of the race weekend.
Addingham Ceilidh Club will hold an indoor and outdoor evening of traditional French and Yorkshire Dales dances on Sunday, June 15, in anticipation of Le Grande Depart.
It will feature Yannick Minvielle-Debat, with the musicians of Les Panards Dansants from Hebden Bridge, and Addingham Ceilidh Club band Beneath the Clock Band.
There will be an hour of dancing in Addingham Memorial Hall car park for all the family, with the chance to join in dances from Wharfedale and other Yorkshire Dales, contrasting circle dances from Brittany, bourrées from Central France and lively dances from beyond.
Dancing to live music begins outside at 6.30pm and moves inside at 7.30 pm – or earlier, dependent on the weather.
