A former Bradford city footballer who sparked a safety scare when he went missing wearing pyjamas early today has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
Kyle Nix, 28, who played for the club for two seasons between 2007 and 2009, went missing at around 7.30am and had been last seen wearing blue and white striped pyjama bottoms and a fawn T-shirt with a Gucci logo across the chest.
Relatives at his home in Bramley, Rotherham, were concerned and contacted South Yorkshire Police who launched a search.
Yesterday evening they confirmed that he had been found safe and well in the suburb where he had last been seen.
Kyle started his league football career with Bradford and has played for other clubs in the Yorkshire area, including Sheffield United and a loan spell with Barnsley.
After police asked for help to trace Kyle concerned Twitter users launched a publicity campaign to try to assist.
