A teenage Bradford sea cadet has started training after being accepted into the Royal Marines.
Marcus Leadbeater became the first RMCD Sergeant at Bradford Sea Cadets after passing the National Royal Marine Cadet Detachment Cadet Sergeants exam earlier this year, when he was 16.
Cadet Sergeant Leadbeater, now 17, has now started his 32-week basic training with the Marines.
The Bradford College student and former pupil of Whitcliffe Mount in Cleckheaton has been part of Bradford’s Royal Marine Detachment of the Sea Cadets since it began in 2011.
