Daredevil fundraisers are being invited to take part in two events to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal in Bradford.
An abseil will be held from the top of the Jury’s Inn Hotel, Thornton Road, from noon to 6 pm on Saturday, June 7, with Lord Mayor Khadim Hussain already signed up to raise money for Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure by taking part.
He will be joined by appeal chairman Maoj Joshi and students from Grange Technology College, who have been volunteering for the appeal throughout the year.
The second event is a teddy bear zipwire challenge at Bradford Cathedral tower, from 2 pm until 5 pm on the same day.
Coun Hussain said: “I am really looking forward to the event, there will be a great view of the city if I dare to open my eyes. I hope people of all ages as well as cuddly toys of all shapes and sizes will sign up to take part to raise money.”
