A street cleaner has been presented with a special award as thanks for keeping Heaton spick and span.
Maurice Kelly was given the annual Hans Renold award for commitment to the community by Heaton Township Association.
Association chairman Sonja McNally praised the Bradford Council employee for his helpful and obliging nature, as well as his hard work keeping the area looking its best.
She said: “He is somebody who, if someone had a question and he didn’t have the answer, he would either get the answer for them or point them in the direction of help.”
The award is presented each year to an individual or group judged to have given the greatest service to the community of Heaton.
