Several Bradford schools will be rewarded for progress and attainment at a ceremony in Dixons Allerton Academy on Monday.
The SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards consider official Department for Education data including Ofsted gradings for state funded schools. SSAT is the national schools’ membership organisation.
Local schools nominated for outstanding progress, that are in the top 20 per cent of schools nationally for value-added, are Beckfoot School, Carlton Bolling College, Dixons Allerton Academy and The Samuel Lister Academy.
Dixons City Academy is also nominated for outstanding progress and high attainment (non-selective schools) Each of the qualifying schools has been invited to receive its award at a regional celebration ceremony hosted by SSAT.
Sue Williamson, chief executive of SSAT said: “These schools should be congratulated for their exceptional achievement. They have proved themselves to be leading the field in improving GCSE outcomes for their students.
“These results are testament to the commitment and hard work of the students, teachers and leadership teams, and show what can be achieved when skilled teachers have high expectations and ambition for every young person.”
