Bradford people getting on their bikes this month could win prizes.
A Ride for Rewards scheme is giving cyclists the chance to earn items ranging from bikes to vouchers.
Participants log all their journeys online or by using a free app and earn ‘bike miles’, which can then be redeemed for prizes.
The West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s go:cycling team is behind the initiative in advance of the Tour de France arriving in the region next month.
“Though cycling is a rewarding experience in itself – as I have recently re-discovered myself – Ride for Rewards provides that little added incentive,” said Coun James Lewis, chairman of the authority’s transport committee.
