A unit in a former ironworks in Bowling Back Lane, Bradford, could be turned into a frozen food store if a new planning application is approved.
Bradford Council has received an application for Unit 1A, Ironworks Works, by a Mr Mustafa that would see the building, empty for more than five years, refurbished and changed from business to retail use.
The shop would create an estimated 18 jobs.
The application says that because the building has been empty for so long it has “attracted negative attention in the form of youths loitering around this site and people trying to get access into the building.”
It adds: “It will provide an alternative business bring-ing new customers to the area.”
