Suspected burglar found in loft of house he had flooded while trying to steal pipework
A suspected burglar was found hiding in the loft of a Bradford house he had just flooded while trying to steal pipework.
Police were called to a property on Rhodesia Avenue, Allerton, in the early hours of yesterday after someone heard banging coming from the house.
A window at the rear of the property had been removed and officers saw movement inside.
After a search of the property, a 30-year-old man was found in the loft and arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Police said pipework to a boiler in a rear bedroom had been cut and water was running through to the kitchen below, causing flooding.
