A man who died almost five weeks after he was injured in a two-car crash has been named.
Kallum McCarter, 20, of Raven Terrace, Fairweather Green, died on Thursday night at Leeds General Infirmary.
He was being treated for the serious injuries he received in the accident between a Mini in which he was a passenger and a Toyota Hiace private hire car on Easter Monday.
A 17-year-old Bradford girl, who was also a passenger in the Mini, suffered serious injuries.
The Mini’s driver, an 18-year-old from Halifax, was taken to hospital, as was the passenger in the Hiace.
Matloob Hussain, the owner of A & M Private Hire in Thornton Road, was driving the private hire vehicle.
He suffered six fractured ribs and an injured lung in the incident on the A647 at Priestley Hill, Queensbury.
The inquest into Kallum’s death was due to be opened this morning.
