Meat at Shibden Head Primary Academy in Queensbury ‘is not halal’
Parents at a Queensbury school have been sent letters after false rumours that its menu had changed to halal spread through the village.
Principal of Shibden Head Primary Academy Sarah Thornton sent the letter last week to inform parents that all meat options served at the school were non-halal.
It followed numerous inaccurate postings on social network sites.
