Ten more nurses are being sought by a Bradford-based care group.
Czajka Care Group, which runs five nursing homes and provides home and domiciliary care to more than 550 people in Yorkshire, is looking to recruit trainee and experienced nurses from the UK and overseas.
Konrad Czajka, group managing director, who is Yorkshire chairman of the Registered Nursing Home Association, said: “It’s vital that as the NHS continues to cut senior nursing posts and drive cost savings the private sector takes advantage of the skills and experience of those nurses.
“We currently have several positions that would be ideal for nurses that have previously worked in the NHS and can provide excellent training to further enhance their knowledge.
“We are appealing to trainee and experienced nurses to consider a role in the private sector. Many nurses in the NHS tell us they feel overstretched and under-resourced and we know we can offer the training and development many nurses crave.”
Czajka Care Group is hosting a series of events at universities in Bradford and Leeds to attract student nurses.
The group provides continued professional development and training at its centre in Saltaire for 500 staff. Mr Czajka added: “We want our nurses to feel valued, well-trained and supported, financially and emotionally.
“We value our clinical staff and understand the important role they play in the care and welfare of our residents.
“That’s why we strive to create an environment where clinicians and care staff can work together with good supportive management to help reduce workplace stress.
“We hope this will help to attract nurses looking to further their careers.”
The latest recruitment drive comes as figures from the Royal College of Nursing show the NHS has lost nearly 4,000 senior nursing posts since 2010 as it aims to save £20billion by 2015.
Czajka Care Group is a family-run business established in Saltaire in 1983 and offers care for more than 250 retired and disabled people.
The company owns and operates Fairmount Nursing Home, Brookfield Care Home and Staveley Birk Leas Nursing Home, all in Nab Wood, Shipley, Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton and Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills.
It also has purpose-built retirement houses and apartments at Currergate Mews, Steeton and Fairmount Park.
The domiciliary care operation, Czajka Community Care, was launched in 2001.
