A case study on the export success of a small Shipley firm will be the centrepiece on an event next month to help local businesses break into overseas markets.
AquaBirths, a family-owned and run business, clinched a major export order of birthing pools for a hospital in Australia.
More than 100 novice exporters are expected to attend the event which is part of the Leeds city region We Are International campaign.
Speakers will include experts from UKTI, Enterprise Europe Network and Yorkshire Innovation Fund who will explore grants, funding and no-charge assistance for exporters.
The afternoon event is at Deloitte, Leeds, on Monday.
Eric Hawthorn, founder and managing director of Shipley-based Radio Design, said: “There is strong appetite for exporting here, as shown by the region’s excellent export performance last year. We are determined to capitalise on this momentum.”
