A team of Yorkshire Water employees got on their bikes to battle it out in the first Water Cycle Challenge in aid of WaterAid.
The cyclists, who work at the company’s Bradford headquarters, went up against more than 70 other riders over a 76-mile course.
The route started at Thuscross Reservoir, taking in some of the Tour De France Grand Depart route.
The route was a huge test for participants from a host of other water companies including United Utilities, Severn Trent, Thames, with hot conditions and tough terrain.
Yorkshire Water’s team missed out as Thames, Northumbrian and Southern were victorious.
Elsewhere, other Yorkshire Water staff participated in the ‘Sportive’, a 27-mile ride through the Washburn Valley.
