Emmerdale star Verity Rushworth has been helping staff at Leeds Building Society’s head office to clear their drawers of unwanted and broken jewellery to turn into cash for Heart Research UK.
The Rawdon actress is urging members of the public to have their own clear-outs, and add to the charity’s Treasure Chest Appeal which involves necklaces, cufflinks, watches and other jewellery being collected by Bonhams and sold to raise funds.
Verity said: “I hope that more companies will contact the charity and lend their support.”
