A day-long music festival and family event scheduled to take place in Saltaire today has been cancelled on safety grounds following the bank-holiday downpours.
Heavy rain yesterday and overnight has left the Hirst Wood Lock site waterlogged and organisers of the Titus Rocks event decided this morning (Sat) that the event could not go ahead.
One band, a One Direction tribute act, were driving from Taunton, Somerset, where they performed last night and were left to turn around.
The site had been fully prepared, with a stage, lighting and sound system in place along with security fencing, marquees and toilets which will now all have to be dismantled without being used.
Organisers are hoping to reschedule the event, which was intended to become an annual fixture, but it is unclear whether another date will be available this year or whether it will have to be postponed until 2015.
