Police investigating a number of shootings involving air rifles have asked any families with such weapons to keep them secured at home.
Three people, including two teenage girls, have been hit by pellets in the Killinghall Road area of Bradford.
Sergeant Mick Cheetham, of the East Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I would urge anyone with any information about who is responsible to contact the police. Any parents who know their children have access to air weapons, be sure they are being used correctly and are safely stored at your home.
“It is only through good luck we are not dealing with more serious injuries. Air weapons can cause life-changing injuries.”
Please report any concerns to 101 or to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
