A 12-year-old girl has raised almost £700 for charity by having her hair cut. Laura Cook’s hair will be used to create a wig for a child fighting cancer.
And sponsorship proceeds, which have already passed the £680 mark, will pay for wigs to be made. Laura, 12, of Eastburn, Keighley, who attends Skipton Girls High School, wanted to support the work of the Little Princess Trust.
fLaura, who has had long hair all her life, initially wanted to raise the £350 cost of creating one real-hair wig. Anyone wishing to add to the donations can go to justgiving.com/Helen-cook3.
