The grounds of a flats complex in Shipley were cordoned off tonight after an apparent stabbing.
Emergency services were called to Crag Road in Windhill at around tea time following reports of a disturbance and a neighbour reported seeing a man flashing a blade in the area immediately in front of a block of flats.
An ambulance arrived a short time later and neighbours reported that a man had been stabbed. West Yorkshire Police confirmed they were investigating an incident, with a ‘minor casualty’.
A neighbour said: “I saw a lad in a blue top flashing a knife around outside the flats. Then someone I know from the flats was on the phone outside. I assume he was calling the police.”
One ambulance arrived but neighbours were unclear about how many people were taken to hospital. Last night the area was cordoned off, with police standing guard at the scene
