Dog fouling is being tackled with signs which are being put up in Otley and Yeadon.
Twenty signs, warning of £2,500 fines, have been ordered with area committee funding. The funding has been approved by local councillors Ryk Downes, Colin Campbell and Sandy Lay.
Now local people are being asked to highlight places where the warnings could be most useful. The signs are designed to act as a deterrent and give information on how to report dog fouling.
Coun Downes said: “We have identified most locations for these signs, but there are a few spare and I am asking residents if they have any locations they would like to see the signs erected. I will be going round with council officers to check suitable locations later this month.”
