A “complete idiot” who breached a suspended prison sentence for dangerous driving and driving while disqualified has been locked up.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that Rizwan Basharat had been given a 12-month suspended sentence in June 2013, but on March 2 this year he was stopped by police, who recognised him behind the wheel of his car Basharat, 20, of Primary Way, Undercliffe, admitted driving while disqualified. Judge Peter Benson activated part of the suspended sentence by ordering him to serve eight months youth custody. He gave him a consecutive two months for driving while disqualified, and banned him from driving for 12 months. Judge Benson told him: “You really are a complete idiot.”
