Three men will be sentenced next month after admitting causing actual bodily harm.
Mohsin Hussain, 19; Hassan Hussain, also 19; and Aqeeb Khalifa, 21, all of Devonshire Street, Keighley, had been due to stand trial at Bradford Crown Court yesterday. All pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Ibrar Ahmed, on August 14 last year, but they pleaded guilty to causing him actual bodily harm.
Prosecutor Alasdair Campbell said the Crown did not accept Mohsin Hussain’s basis of plea that he did not use a weapon. “I will open the case on the basis that all three used weapons,” Mr Campbell told Judge Colin Burn.
Mohsin Hussain’s barrister, Yunus Valli, said his client was a law student, with no previous convictions, who was party to a joint enterprise.
All three were granted unconditional bail until sentencing on June 30.
