The organiser of the annual Haworth 1940s weekend said people who went to the event in German uniform were made to feel unwelcome, following pleas for people not to dress in Nazi outfits.
At least six people were in Second World War German uniforms on Saturday and a small group of them set up a re-enactment display in Haworth Central Park.
Many businesses displayed notices stating that they would not admit anyone wearing this type of clothing.
Organiser Nikki Carroll said she personally saw only two people in German military uniforms on Saturday.
“The two I saw were looking quite disgruntled in the park, and on Sunday I didn’t see anyone in German uniform,” she added.
“We did our best to make them feel unwelcome.”
