A 24-year-old man today appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a young mum who was shot in her Bradford home.

Hasan Khan, of Brassey Terrace, West Bowling, who has also been charged with firearms offences, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court.

The 22-year-old woman suffered two wounds to her stomach in the shooting which occurred in Longfield Drive, East Bowling, on Friday afternoon.

She suffered serious, but not life threatening, injuries and was taken to Bradford Infirmary for treatment.

Khan was remanded in custody by magistrates and will next appear before a judge at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, June 2.
