Nearly 200 people climbed on their bikes to take part in a village’s own take on the Tour de France on Sunday.
The Tour de Queensbury saw cyclists tackle one of two routes – the Great Northern Railway Trail or the five-mile Super Loop.
Norah McWilliam, one the event organisers, took part and said: “It went very well. The weather was brilliant and lots of families and small children turned up.”
The event was organised by Cycle Queensbury, a group which wants to get the village cycling. Both routes started at the bottom of Station Road in Queensbury.
Sarah Firth, who took part in the ride, said on Facebook: “Not from Queensbury but thoroughly enjoyed the event today. I haven't been on a bike in 20 years and I have to say, after I conquered the wobble, I quite enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone involved.”
