Four of the finest local bands will be picked to star at this year’s Bingley Music Live during the grand final of this year’s search for new talent tonight.
A place on the line-up of the Bradford Council-run event on August 29-31 will put them in the same arena as this year’s headline acts – the legendary Pet Shop Boys, chart topping hip-hop artist Example and Yorkshire heroes Shed Seven.
The competition, which is organised in partnership with The Musicians Centre, has been run over four heats featuring 24 acts and now just eight remain – Down Reno, Tropical Contact, The Barmines, Happy Daggers, Tom Gee Band, The Ratells, The Ramblers and The Orielles.
The winners will each get a 30-minute slot at this year’s festival performing on the main and second stages.
The final starts at 7pm at The Exchange, Russell Street, Keighley. Admission is £5 on the door.
