Keighley accountants tackled a gruelling 40-mile challenge to raise cash for Manorlands.
The team, which labelled itself the Yorkshire Puddings, was among about 3,000 people who took part in the 48th Keswick to Barrow – K2B – walk on Saturday. All but one of the 12-strong contingent – from Eddisons, Stirk Lambert and Walkers chartered accountancy practices – completed the route.
They hope their efforts will raise over £3,000 in sponsorship for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
“The weather conditions at the start were awful – it was pouring down with rain and cold – but as the day went on it brightened up,” said Mike Procter, a director at Walkers.
“You feel quite a sense of achievement after finishing.
“Last year six of us from Walkers took part on our own but this time we thought it would be nice to get colleagues from other firms involved.”
