An officer was injured and a BMW police car had a back wheel knocked off when it was in a crash with another vehicle while pursuing a stolen car in Leeds Road, Bradford.
The crash happened yesterday while officers were following a stolen Ford Fiesta, and left debris strewn across the road.
An officer in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Sergeant Ian Hill said: "Shortly after 11.30am on Sunday, May 11, a marked roads policing vehicle was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Vectra in Leeds Road, Bradford.
“Damage was caused to the rear offside of the police vehicle and minor damage was caused to the front offside of the other vehicle as a result of the collision. The driver of the police car suffered minor injuries.
"The police car had been actively pursuing another vehicle at the time of the collision.
" The vehicle being pursued, a black Ford Fiesta, had been reported as stolen locally and inquiries are ongoing to trace this vehicle."
